The Atelier at Cocina Abierta is an interactive space for the development and enjoyment of what we love: Food, Wine and Spirits. Our classes provide an authentic “hands on” cooking worldwide experience, they are sure to be an unforgettable highlight of your vacation or part of your local entertaining options.

Classes are generally 2 hours long and  include: top professional private chef, tastings of prepared dishes, a welcome cocktail from our private bar, student apron, educational literature, top of the line cooking equipment and ingredients.

Looking for a team building event that combines cooking with communication, skill building and critical thinking? Our Culinary Challenges are slightly shorter team building cooking classes that economize on time but pack in all the cooking skills and fun! Guests are divided into teams that work together to create their culinary masterpieces. And, of course, once the cooking is finished everyone is invited to sit down, relax, and enjoy their culinary creations.

Martín Louzao

CHEF & OWNER, CINCOSENTIDOS CULINARY GROUP

Martín has worked in different countries and kitchens around the world. He took specialized courses at the renowned École Lenôtre in Paris, and has also studied under Albert Adrià and Argentinian Chef Gato Dumas, both innovators and pioneers of contemporary and modern cuisine. He also worked with Michelin Guide Star Koldo Royo, and others respected chefs. Since he was very young he showed passion for cooking, and would help his family in the kitchen, and at the same time taught himself by reading books and doing research. Influenced by his travels and experiences, he now manages the creative processes of his Culinary Group Cincosentidos, which group together the restaurants Cocina Abierta, Nonna and Touro. He is currently immersed in the development of the Atelier; a project he holds dear to his heart. In his own words: “it’s more than teaching, it’s the continuing process of learning that inspires me”.

HEAD SOMMELIER, BEVERAGE & SERVICE TRAINING MANAGER, CINCOSENTIDOS

Arturo is an incorrigible surfer, obsessed chess player and a dreamer guitarist. It was in his grandmother’s kitchen where his culinary adventure began. For the past 18 years he has harvested friendships and gained experience in the hospitality industry. His passion for wine, spirits and beverages has led him to become a certified Sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers and Certified Specialist of Wine by the Society of Wine Educators.
